The PLN Institute of Technology has been operating since 1998, initially under the name of the PLN Technical College (STT-PLN), with its previous campus located at the Indonesia Power Building on Gatot Subroto Street. ITPLN is managed by the PLN Education and Welfare Foundation (YPK PLN). On January 31, 2020, ITPLN officially transformed into the PLN Institute of Technology (ITPLN), which consists of 4 faculties and 17 study programs.
